Enter: San Francisco

Posted by Johnny

I arrived at LAX yesterday in just enough time to beat the traffic, yes that is possible. Chi Chi had driven us to the airport and we were all on our way back to West Hollywood to part ways and catch up on much needed rest. Just as I was snuggling up to the window for a quick nap I heard Chi Chi shriek, “Oh My God!” I could tell by the way the tone of her voice came from deep in her soul that something was wrong.

When I looked up I saw a car in a cloud of smoke missing its front end. I remembered my CPR training and prepared myself for blood or worse. I told Chi Chi to call the cops and ran after Luca who had already left the car. Luckily everybody involved was fine. Some guy had run through a red light and side swiped another car. It just goes to show you can never be too comfortable in the urban jungle. That mangled wreck could just as easily been us - or you. Take a minute and appreciate that.

On a brighter note, I left my buddy’s house at 6:30 AM for my road trip to San Francisco. I saw the sunrise through the hills of the San Fernando Valley (yes, the center of the porn universe). I saw a rainbow end to end, something I had never seen before. It was magically delicious. The drive was everything I had hoped it would be. Solitary and stress-free with three or four phone calls to my best friend back home, Mom and BW to pass the time.

I got into town at noon, had a great lunch with my good friend, Kevin, went to the gym and ate again. I bought the 5th season of Six Feet Under and cannot wait to start watching. It has been raining since I got here and according to Kevin it has been this way for about 2 weeks. UGH! I might just never leave the apartment. Oh wait, François is here. I may never come back to the apartment!
